The crowd, already pumped up and sweaty from the amazing performance of Gemini Syndrome, was now ready for Sevendust to make their appearance. Some of the fans began to chant the band’s name then surely enough, the lights dimmed and one by one, the band members emerged from the shadows. Frontman, Lajon Witherspoon, was the last to come out and they kicked off their set without a moment wasted with “Pieces,” “Face to Face,” “Till Death,” and “Denial.” It was like any great metal show: horns were waving, the crowd was singing along wholeheartedly, some mouthing the lyrics, some dancing, feeling the energy the band was washing over them. The band continued their set with “Praise,” “Karma,” “Enemy,” and Sevendust slowed it down a bit with “Got a Feeling.” Next to be played was “Angel’s Son,” “Black,” and “Strong Arm Broken.” Lajon occasionally walked over to the ever-loving fans, reaching out for their out-reached hands, fist bumping and hold them. The band and crowd’s drive was through the roof, just indescribable in everyway. They finished their set with “Decay” and “Splinter.” They then left the stage, leaving the crowd begging for more, chanting their name with the occasional chants from the Gemini Syndrome merch table. Overall, Sevendust, as always, killed it and put on one hell of a show. The fans walked out of the venue into the cool summer night air with giant grins plastered on their sweaty faces. Some had left drunkenly singing the words to the band’s songs. Be sure t check out their upcoming tour dates. This is a tour you will not want to miss!
