Lets cover something a little more funky this time around. Rock on the Range IS Rock on the Range but with music changing more than ever and genres blending and bleeding into one another there is more to rock than rock alone. The world of rap and metal have collided, leaving nothing but molten steel and eardrums in their wake. I’m not going to say the mash-up was always a total success, but over the years pioneers have innovated and impressed with creativity that’s off the charts. Their have also been some killer collabos that come to mind with ease. And two of them involve some of this years best artists!
Linkin Park and Jay-Z are one of my favorite mas-ups and with 5 Million copies sold world wide I think a few people agree with me. Here is a look at something old, and then I’ll give you something new!
Then we have Tech N9ne. Arguably the strongest force in the underground rap scene. So strong in fact that he’s not underground at all anymore. He has bore and scratched his way into the hearts and ears of millions of people including mine, hell I’ve been a fan since I first heard Anghellic back in 2002.
Last we have Hollywood Undead. These guys took a while to grow on me, I’m not going to lie. But once they grew on me I was hooked on the hooks, the rhymes and the beat that you can’t help but give a foot tap and a head nod to. I’m serving you up with the latest and greatest from them, then I’ll share the video that got me stuck.
Enjoy Rangers, next week I’ll be back with something a little on the melodic side. I’m waiting to confirm some big ROCK ON THE RANGE news before I talk about the next set of bands. Hopefully I’ll have a for sure by then.

We are now under one month away from one of the coolest of the Danny Wimmer festivals. Louder Than Life is something a bit more exciting, a bit wilder and yet a bit more cozy than some of the other festivals that you may hit up over a summer. A day at [...]
