Returning to the Arena District this year, Fashion Meets Music Festival has announced their initial lineup of musical performances for their second year running. The big headliners include Young the Giant, Taking Back Sunday, Awolnation, Milo Greene, and Rachel Platten, with several bands with Ohio ties, like Truslow, Captain Kidd, and Playing to Vapors also on the ticket. Keep your eyes peeled for updates, as the roster is expected to round out at about 45 musical acts.
The announcement follows a series of teasers on their Facebook page, which were designed to garner attention and promote the official announcement made today. Having learned from their first run in 2014 – and the infamous R Kelly scandal – the promoters have transitioned into a fully ticketed event, and downsized the festival to encompass only the Arena District for 2 days. This will allow them to better incorporate their original vision of intertwining fashion and music in the same venue, thus creating an eclectic experience for attendees that better addresses everyone’s concerns and desires. This seems especially important after the fiasco created last year by the controversial choice of headliner.
This year it will also be flush with fabulous after parties at a variety of Columbus locations, and an announcement regarding the fashion to featured this year is anticipated for April 7th. Tickets go on sale March 27th at 10am! Get yours now!
