“Noise Auction” from Columbus, OH, have been playing together since 2004, they have released 3 full studio albums since that time, they have toured all across the country playing some of the most legendary venues in America. In 2010 “Noise Auction” was selected to play Rock on the Range, the largest music festival in America, and again in 2012, making them the first Columbus band to play the event twice.
On March 21, 2015 Noise Auction took the stage at the Alrosa Villa after more than a years hiatus from performing live shows together. The band has never ‘officially’ broken up, so it wouldn’t be proper to call it a come back , but rather let’s think of it as a reunion, not only for the members of the band, but for the fans as well.
In talking with the guys about the event, they mention that this show was intended to be a sort of testing the waters, not sure what to expect after being out of the scene for the nearly a year, they couldn’t help but wonder how the fans would receive it. Looking back now, there was no need to wonder, the fans certainly did turnout, lining up around the building before the doors open and literally packing the house from the front to the back. You could not help but feel the energy in the room as they took the stage. It was obvious that their fans have a lot of love and admiration for the band.
It was a high energy performance packed with excitement, some light hearted interactions and a few emotional moments as “Noise Auction” took the stage and began playing all their favorite tunes both new and old. At one point during the performance of their hit single “Beautiful Tragedy” lead vocalist Tom Cline’s daughter had a pleasant surprise in store for him as she joined him on stage during the set.
A little later in the set Tom reached out to pull another young lady from the audience up on stage, a moment in time that she will likely never forget. It is this sort of thing that really sets the guys of “Noise Auction” apart from other bands, it also helps to explain why their fans have such an enormous amount of love and respect for all the members of the band.
While it is still uncertain at this moment what the future hold for “Noise Auction” as there have no ‘official’ announcements from the band, but one thing that you can be certain of, if they play it, the fans will come. Stay tune for new information and updates from the band and don’t forget to check out the band links below.
And with that being ZTPMAG is excited to announce that Noise Auction will be playing another live show on Friday, April 24 at Turtle Creek Tavern on North Hamilton Rd. in Columbus. ZTPMAG and Payne Productions will be on site to capture the memories, we hope that you will all be there too.
