So I don’t know how I feel about sharing the title of most kick ass concert city in the mid-west, but Louisville, KY makes a damn strong case with it’s Louder Than Life music festival.  Coming at you this October 4th and 5th you’ll get the chance to destroy your ear drums for what’s probably the last festival of the summer..ish season.

Louder than life, damn you…..I have to say, you have put together a line up that beats the 2014 ROTR line up (Jesus, did I just say that?)  I know Rock On The Range has drawn in fans as far as England and bands as far as Japan, and I’m sure Louder Than Life will do the same.

With some of the biggest names in rock from yesterday and today it’s hard to choose which band you are most excited to see, so fuck it why even choose?  That’s the great thing about a show like this.  You can see everyone from Judas Priest, Korn and Stone Temple Pilots to Nonpoint, FLAW, and Wilson and you can’t beat that with a huge, huge stick.

Now we all know that nobody likes to rock out on an empty stomach or a sober, empty stomach.  So the people at Louder than life have lined up something special to keep those thirsts and hungers in line.  They have a minimum of 14 different whiskey slingers making your weekend slide right into top gear, then take a stroll around the Jack Daniels Whiskey experience or make your way over to German town presented by Jagermeister.  Sample some of the Artist inspired brews like The Trooper, Bastards by Motorhead and Slayer’s own red wine (imagine that).  After that head over and fill up your gut with your choice of 12 gourmet food stops serving up everything from southern BBQ to tacos.
