So what’s this new ice bucket challenge that everyone is going on about? Well I had to find out what has everyone from Bill Gates to Jimmy Fallon dumping buckets of ice water on themselves and friends. The origins are unknown but it seems to have gained traction when it was done on the golf channel back in June when they televised the event. Now it is rip roaring it’s way across television and social media circles from Columbus to London, all to raise money for (ALS) Also known as Lou Gehrig‘s disease.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)—also referred to as motor neurone disease (MND), Charcot disease, and, in the United States, Lou Gehrig‘s disease or Stephen Hawking‘s disease—is aneurodegenerative disease with various causes. It is characterised by muscle spasticity, rapidly progressive weakness due to muscle atrophy, difficulty in speaking (dysarthria), swallowing (dysphagia), and breathing (dyspnea). ALS is the most common of the five motor neuron diseases. -Wikipedia
So I got a message from my buddy Rick Hoganson of Hoganson Media Relations about his boy Trevor McNevan, front man for the uber popular rock band Thousand Foot Krutch. Trevor was tapped for the Ice Bucket Challenge by none other than Carrie Underwood. So I wanted to share his video with you, I’m dying to see who he challenges!
Catch Thousand Foot Krutch coming to a city near you, also make sure to pick up their new album entitled OXYGEN:INHALE which I recently reviewed earlier this month. Follow the link to see—> http://ztpmag.com/archives/1137
