Based out of Knoxville, TN, 10 Years is a band that has been around since 1999, with their beyond recognizable hit ‘Wasteland’ there aren’t many people who don’t know who they are. With each album release they tweak their core sound by the slightest amount, while still holding on to the chemistry that has held their rock solid fan base close by for 16 years now.
With the stage lights dimmed down, The band members of 10 Years filtered on to the stage, the roars from the crowd got louder and louder with anticipation and excitement. Starting off strong with ‘Backlash’, the energy of 10 Years on stage is incomparable. With croon worthy vocals coming from front man Jesse Hasek, the crowd all seemed to gel as one being. Now, I’ve seen 10 Years perform a few times over the past couple of years, and with all the different shows I’ve been to, I have never witnessed the same level of crowd interaction that I see when at a 10 Years show.
Being a drummer inspired me to become a bass player. Seeing the High energy performances from bass players like Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Tye Zamora (Alien Ant Farm)What song do you remember most from your childhood?
Michael Jackson- Beat itIf you were able to sit at a table and listen to any two people speak, who would it be and why?
That would have to be Allan Watts (British born Philosopher) and Dave Grohl. (Foo Fighters)
They are both very inspiring and unique in their own ways.
All in all, My advice is this, if you’re looking to have a great concert experience, and want something that will leave a lasting impression, check out 10 Years when they come to your area. They absolutely never disappoint. (And make sure you grab their newest release ‘From Birth to Burial’ on April 21st.)
